utb-1
You read that right. Stun Guns.

Ultimate Tak Ball, or UTB for short, claims to be the future of sport with its new league that seems to join soccer and stun guns in athletic bliss.  UTB is a 4 on 4 sport involving rectangular playing field, with one ball, 2 goals at opposing ends, and 8 Shocking apparatus.  The ball is a 24" oversized soccer ball that can be carried or thrown into the oppositions goal.  The field is shaped and lined much like a soccer field with a goal at either end.  The kicker is the players carry stun guns with them and are allowed to use them on the ball carrier to try to get the ball from them.

tebow
That's right, the New York Jets coughed up a fourth rounder for this TE/OL/FB/QB thing that is Tim Tebow **Covers head, waits for lightning bolt**.  This is all you're going to hear about for the next week or two.  Forget the fact that Manning signed with the Broncos.  Forget the fact that Sean Payton has been suspended ALL year for his involvement in the Saints Bounty program.  Forget that Gregg Williams has been suspended indefinitely. And most of all, forget about March Madness.

Nothing matters but Tebow. Everyone knows that.

So why not get his jersey?

I love what you can do with Microsoft Paint...

lebron-jamesHe’s done it again. It’s his third trip “home”, to the Q, to Cleveland. His number has changed, his uniform has changed, but his love for himself and attention remains embarrassingly as high as it’s ever been. He hasn’t been humbled. He hasn’t grown up. LeBron James is the same boy who one day in July sat on national television and forever ruined the relationship he had with the city he grew up in.

Tonight the Cleveland Cavaliers host the Miami Heat for the third time since LeBron has taken his talents to South Beach. For the past month, there has been speculation that LeBron is unhappy playing for the Heat organization. Why wouldn’t he be? His teammates are calling him out, he’s been a class-A choker under pressure, and the all the extras and free passes that Dan Gilbert gladly handed out to him are no where to be seen in the Heat organization. There is talk that LeBron is thinking of opting out of his contract after his three years. There is even more talk that one of the most desirable markets for him to go to would be Cleveland. That’s right, the prodigal son is considering a return.

shayeganImagine you are a high school athlete, or the parent or sibling of one, and your team has just won the big game.  Let's say it is basketball and everyone rushes to center court to hop around and celebrate.  Then, all of the sudden during the celebration, a stranger joins in with your team.

I know what you are thinking and yes, I know, there are a lot of strangers that might rush the court.  But how many of these strangers are 5'-8" 240 pound 28 year old males?  And how many of these strangers are not just joining in on the celebration, but actually jumping on players backs for piggyback rides?

No, I'm not making this up...I couldn't make this up.

elilateshow
The Eli Manning medis circus got underway last night when the 2 time Super Bowl Champion quarterback appears on The Late Show with David Letterman.  Eli appeared relaxed throughout the interview and even managed to get a few laughs out of the audience and myself.  He even remained composed when Dave started asking him questions about his big brother Peyton and whether or not he could play and if so, would it still be in Indianapolis.

Towards the end of part 1, Eli takes us through the last scoring play for the Giants where Ahmad Bradshaw appears confused as to whether or not he should kneel or score.

"Right as I'm handing the ball off to Ahmad, I could sense the Patriots defense giving up.  So I told him 'don't score, don't score'"
